IMPORTANT MESSAGE: The Historic Chapel will be unavailable for rental through fall 2020 due to renovation work.

Designed in 1911, this stunning chapel was built by the world-famous firm of Warren and Wetmore, the architects who designed many prominent New York buildings including Grand Central Terminal, the Yale Club, and the New York Yacht Club.

Located amidst the rolling hills of New York City’s oldest natural landscape, this architectural gem is the perfect venue for your wedding.

Rental rates start at $1000 for four hours in the chapel. For more information about an event in the chapel, call 718-210-3074 or email contactus@green-wood.com. Rates valid until 12/31/2019.

Please note that the chapel is available for rent “as is”, with pews in place only and the base price for rental is only during open hours. So, it is not ideal for dinners, parties, or receptions—but it is a gorgeous venue for a wedding ceremony, lecture, book talk, guided meditation, mass, or other kind of service.

Memorial services follow a separate pricing schedule and must be arranged through Green-Wood’s Administrative Office by calling 718-768-7300.

Green-Wood also welcomes film shoots in the Historic Chapel and among the grounds. This follows a separate pricing schedule from event rental. For more information on using Green-Wood as a location in your film or video, call 718-210-3057.
